The SyncBoxSuite mobile app gains a full supervisor experience. Company admins log in to the same app as the operators and unlock a role-gated section that handles report review, fleet-wide cover key control, operator account management and on-the-spot RFID card scanning over NFC - without ever needing to be at a workstation.
The supervisor section is invisible to standard operators. It only appears for users whose JWT carries a CompanyAdmin or SystemAdmin role, decoded on the device - no extra login, no separate app.
Pending and resolved reports - review on the move
The supervisor home opens onto two tabs. Pending shows every open report in the supervisor's company, freshest at the top, with a one-tap detail view that loads the metadata immediately and the photo only when explicitly requested (saving cellular data). The supervisor resolves with a required note (which the operator will read in their My Reports view) or rejects with a required note. Resolved filters the same list by 7-, 30- or 90-day windows for follow-up.
All Active Keys - fleet-wide cover key control
A separate drawer entry lists every active cover key in the supervisor's company, sorted by time-to-expiry, with a live countdown on each row. Keys close to expiry are coloured yellow and red. A revoke button on each row immediately invalidates the key - useful when a key has been issued in error or the operator needs a fresh one.
Manage Users - temporary password reset
The supervisor can search the company's operators and reset any operator's password on the spot. The panel returns a randomly generated 16-character temporary password; the supervisor sees it once, copies it to the clipboard with a single tap and hands it to the operator through a secure channel. The new password is shown only once and never stored on the supervisor's phone.
Account safety rules are enforced server-side: only operator accounts can be reset from this screen. SystemAdmin and CompanyAdmin accounts are explicitly blocked from the mobile reset path.
Scan RFID Card - NFC straight from the phone
Onboarding a new staff RFID card no longer requires the supervisor to walk to an IT laptop. The mobile app reads the card over the phone's built-in NFC, sends the UID to the panel for hashing and immediately displays the resulting SYNC-BOXS-XXXX-XXXX-XXXX-XXXX code with a copy button. The output format matches the Windows Tool exactly, so the same hash works in any SyncBox unit across the fleet. Currently available on Android; iOS support follows when the corresponding entitlement is enabled.
- Role-gated supervisor section: only CompanyAdmin and SystemAdmin see the supervisor entries; operators continue to use the same app unchanged.
- Required resolution and rejection notes: every report verdict is accompanied by an explanation that the operator can read in My Reports.
- Lazy photo loading: the photo bytes for a report are fetched only when the supervisor taps the placeholder, keeping mobile data usage minimal.
- Live cover key revoke: any active key in the supervisor's company can be invalidated in one tap.
- One-shot temp password: 16-character random password generated server-side, shown to the supervisor once, copied to clipboard, never persisted on the device.
- NFC RFID scan: phone reads the card UID and the panel returns the SyncBox-compatible hash - no laptop required.
- Refresh-with-progress: every list shows an inline spinner while data refreshes, matching the operator-side polish from the previous release.
Built on the same governance model as the panel
Every supervisor action travels over the same authenticated channel as the desktop SyncBoxSuite panel and is subject to the same rate limits, multi-tenant scoping and audit logging. The mobile supervisor flow is not a parallel system - it is a dedicated front end onto the existing platform, so policies set in the panel apply unchanged on the phone.
